When We Are Closed
Out of Surgery Hours
The partners at this practice use a deputising service called Harmoni to attend to out-of-hours medical requests. For medical emergencies for both Clacton and St Osyth surgeries, please telephone 111 where your call will be assessed and an appointment with out of hours will be made if necessary. Calls to 111 are free from landlines and mobiles.
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 (see link:- http://www.nhs.uk/NHSEngland/AboutNHSservices/Emergencyandurgentcareservices/Pages/NHS-111.aspx) to speak to a triage nurse. Your needs will be assessed and advice offered or arrangements made for you to see a doctor.
You can also use the NHS Direct Symptom Checker (click on link:- http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk/CheckSymptoms
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
